Michael Jantzen

Michael Jantzen has been working as an experimental artist/designer for over 50 years. He is recognized as a visionary who throughout his career has celebrated sustainability in most of his work. He received a BS degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and a MFA degree from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri. His work is very well known around the world. It has been featured in thousands of articles in books like Architecture in the 20th Century, Architecture Now, Architecture Art, and Architecture in the United States. His work has been featured in magazines like Newsweek, US News and World Report, Art Forum, and Wired. His work has also been presented in newspapers like the LA Times, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and the St. Louis Post Dispatch. He has been featured on most of the art and architecture web sites on the Internet. Michael’s work has been shown in many galleries, and on various TV documentaries. It has also been exhibited at the National Building Museum, the Canadian Center for Architecture, the Harvard School of Design and Architecture, Southern Illinois University, Washington University in St. Louis, the St. Louis Art Museum, the Santa Fe Institute, and at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Michael is not an architect but rather an artist/designer whom often uses architecture and design as an art form. Most of his work merges art, architecture, technology, and sustainable design into one unique experience
