A. P. Vague is a Chicago-based artist and educator whose work explores long-distance collaboration and alternative communication formats. They teach Liberal Arts & Humanities at DePaul university and co-run the experimental publishing platform Alastria Press.

This project is a combination of video and printmaking processes. To create this piece, I first made prints from smartphone video clips, with every frame in a grid. I then scanned these prints and developed software that converted each frame back into a video format. This process is an exploration of the distortions and glitches than can occur through media transfer.
